At The Short End, Alex and Christina believe the best food is made to be shared, enjoyed with good company, and centred around great ingredients cooked well and served simply. While many know them for their tacos, The Short End is about so much more, and you don’t need to bowl to eat here. Everyone’s welcome. Through the week, things stay casual with bar snacks and bowls-friendly bites. The Once Upon a Taco range they brought over from Tassie is the star, with a rotating line-up of flavour-packed tacos alongside hearty burgers, moreish share plates and vegetarian options, all easy on the wallet. It’s the perfect match for a cold drink and a good catch-up, Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 5pm. Come Friday night, the Bistro serves up relaxed, hearty meals made for lingering over, a changing weekly menu with a main, a vegetarian option and dessert, best booked ahead online from 5:30pm. So grab a drink, settle in and stay awhile. Good food, good company, good times.
