At The Dam, we bring together fresh local produce, designed to be enjoyed alongside seltzers & cocktails made from our house distilled hemp spirits, local craft beers & our own range of Raintree wines. Our menu is centred around Australian cuisine, with a slight nod to our Head Chef’s Mediterranean heritage. Enjoy the outdoor dining tables scattered throughout our rock amphitheatre and along our deck overlooking the dam or dine in the restaurant. The diverse range of Raintree sustainably produced products, including the hemp, truffle, marron and black angus beef, are available in our seasonal bar and restaurant and our shop. We make our signature cocktails at The Dam, using our range of Cannabis Botanical Spirits and the magic of Denmark’s most loveable barman Sam Jeffs & his team! Cosy up with a glass of your favourite red, white or bubbly from our Raintree wine range, available exclusively at The Dam, in collaboration with artisan winemaker Coby Ladwig. You don’t need to make a booking to come in anytime for a drink and a casual meal in our bar lounge, restaurant bookings recommended.
The Marron Tale is nestled in the Valley of the Giants and flanked by the Tree Top Walk and our beautiful Southern Ocean. We specialise in our live and cooked Marron sales. Marron are the largest freshwater crayfish in WA and the 3rd largest in the world, unique to our breathtaking region. At the Marron Tale, not only do we wish to showcase this culinary delight, delicate yet rich in flavour, but we have something for everyone! We take pride in serving delicious home-cooked meals: Breakfasts, Burgers, Pasta, Salads, and an extensive range of Marron Meals. Both dine in and take-away, we also have lots of easy-to-grab options for those on the go. We love showcasing local products from our region, including several local wine options. With a wide range of coffee, and cold drinks (including bubble tea) we are the perfect place to have a break on the road with convenient highway location. The Dam, our striking new venue, is the doorway to Raintree Estate, 880 acres of sustainable farming and agribusiness creating the finest produce we use in our range of artisanal products. Shop at The Dam or online and enjoy a little slice of Denmark and The Great Southern from anywhere in the world! Our Gourmet Truffle range includes Raintree Black Truffle Sauce, Raintree Truffle Mustard, Raintree Truffle Honey, and Raintree Truffle Oil. Shop our range of Raintree Wines, from grapes sourced from throughout The Great Southern, lovingly crafted into a delicious range of wines by our artisan winemaker, Cody Ladwig. Our spirits, seltzers and ginger beers are available in packs or cartons for pick up at the Dam Shop, or delivered to your door! Distilled from Cannabis sativa (hemp), harvested on Raintree, all our products go through a 5x distillation process, with the final result bottled and labelled by hand on the family farm. It's a labour of love well worth the long hours. We hope you enjoy!
We offer mixed colours and varieties of fresh gourmet oyster mushrooms, all lovingly grown in Denmark, and delivered to your door for a small fee. Oyster mushrooms are a super food that has been used in Chinese traditional medicine for centuries. Our protein and fibre rich mushrooms are packed full of beneficial vitamins and minerals and are both delicious and nutritious. We grow our mushrooms with fresh UV filtered rainwater, fresh air and sunlight and our new packaging keeps your mushrooms nice and fresh and is 100% home compostable. At Amara Mushrooms we are passionate about producing food which benefits community, economy and environment. The Denmark Health Shop stocks a good range of seasonal organic fresh vegetables and fruit. They also have honey, nuts, seeds, cheeses, oils, dry, tinned goods, teas, health care, body care, make up, natural remedies plus more.
Pawprint Chocolate on Hollings Road has a flavour for everyone. Australian-made chocolate as a base and prepares, roasts, toasts, slices and dices fresh and preserved products to make the unique flavour selection. Other delights include gift packs and culinary treats such as relish, dukkah, muffin and brownie mixes.
Valley of the Giants Olives and Wines is located on a hillside with views over the Walpole Wilderness National Park. Wine, olive oil, olives and soap. Come and spend some time in this beutiful place with the very friendly hosts.
Enjoy honey icecream and delicious mead at Bartholomews Meadery. A lovely selection of Bee wares including gifts, honey, remedies, candles, skincare, toys, books, chocolate, mead and liqueur on sale! It is one of the few meaderies in Australia. While you are there you can watch the bees at work, in a glass hive... try and spot the Queen. This is fascinating for visitors of all ages.
The Good Food Factory sells a range of delicious toffees, nut brittles, gourmet sauces, chutneys, preserves, salsas, tapenades, dressings & olives. It has a wooden house and grass area out the front for the children and boasts 'Denmark's Biggest Cone'! Set on a charming rural property in William Bay you can easily spend a while here with lots of samples to tempt! Elephant Rock Cider.
At Wholly Local you will find locally farmed, produced and crafted fresh, prepared and packaged foods. There is a lovely selection of handmade local gifts, home wares, clothes, jewellery, hair and beauty products plus more. Pick and pack your own picnic from local cheese, smoked fish and meats, crackers and chutneys. Take home prepared dinners and lunches. Order and have delivered breakfast and dinner hampers.
The Green Pantry, one of our local favourites is take away only at the moment in support of PRO CHOICE Denmark. Sometimes live musicians perform outside and it is a central point with great drinks and snacks.
Mrs Jones is a popular relaxed cafe set within the Old Butter Factory. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a friendly environment and varied menu. Check out the delicious natural ice pops on sale too! Next-door is the Butter factory Studios, featuring ten artists working in a variety of media. Browse through the Art Gallery, gift shop and studios while your food is prepared.
The laid back vibe of this small southern town can be enjoyed through the culinary experiences it offers. Denmark is filled with talented artisans, you can purchase their produce from local stores and online!
There is a good mix of indoor and alfresco dining. Many of the Wineries within the Denmark Wine Region have Restaurants alongside their Cellar Door.
Stock up with a supply of fresh local vegetables, including organic and spray free and local produce, like honey, relish, cheese and a wide variety of excellent health related products at the Denmark Health Shop. Although at its most busy during school holidays, Denmark has lots of food choices for visitors and locals year round.
Ravens, down by the river has a great range of food, cookies, slices and juices. They also sell coffee, tea, produce and gifts. You can dine on the verandah, indoors or take away. Berridge Park and the Denmark River is opposite so you can dine across from the River's edge.
Tea House Books, opposite the riverbank, on the Gazebo side, is a great book store which also stocks a unique and clever range of gifts and toys! Have a coffee and cake whilst browsing the books, what a clever and inspiring blend! This is a family run business, like most in Denmark and it is an experience not to be missed. At Tea House Books they feature local products and offer an intimate book buying experience. Children will love it too!
Another local favourite, serving delicious food with great service, indoor and outdoor seating is the The Denmark Gelato Co & Pasta Bar, next door to The Bibbulmun Cafe, serves locally roasted Stash coffee and a wide range of Elmstock teas, delicious waffles and other mouth watering treats! The gelato and sorbets are totally delicious! Range of pasta and a vegan and gluten free range of tasty treats!
Indulge in the most tasty pies, pastries and cakes from the National Award Winning Denmark Bakery in Fig Tree Square with The Bakery Cafe adjoining, where you can sit inside or outdoors on the deck and enjoy the same delicious bakery food plus more! Check out their awards boards outside, inside... and everywhere. Their pies, cakes and loafs are spectacular. Great, friendly service. Always great.
The Bakeries and Takeaways in town supply a great range of baked goods, wraps, rolls, sandwiches and meals to eat in or take away. Great range of hot and cold drinks. Oriental food plus family sized pies and cakes to bring home! Affordable, fast and friendly polite service.
Massimo’s Place in Denmark is famous for its wholesome and delicious pizza! Share delicious wood fired pizza at Denmark's first microbrewery, the Boston Brewery and Willoughby Park Winery. This is a popular local venue, open 7 days, with frequent Live Entertainment, just out of town towards Albany. There is a shaded play park for kids of all sizes with climbing, swinging and spinning, plus basketball hoops and a stage. Children LOVE it here, so do adults!!!! On colder nights come indoors and sit next to the fire and soak up the ambient bustle.
