Renowned for producing wines that are consistent high-award achievers (including a Halliday 5 star rating) and for their ecological approach to the vineyard and wetlands. Producing wines on a small scale allows them the freedom to do it well; hand-picked parcels of fruit, minimal intervention winemaking, and excellent oak handling allow the wines to express the character of their terroir. The vineyard was established in 1997 by David Britten and Melissa Boughey on their 105 acre property which borders the pristine Kent River (between Denmark & Walpole). A gentle north-facing slope, gravelly soils, and temperate climate all work their magic on low-yielding vines. Moombaki's focus is on sustainability, driven by a desire to produce highest quality fruit. Life’s too short to drink mediocre wine! OPEN 7 DAYS 11am - 5pm. CELLAR DOOR & ONLINE SALES
